MY UPDATE PAGE
March 9, 2006. Thursday. I woke up at about 3am. I turned on the concentrator in the bathroom and hooked up the oxygen to a 3liter/minute rate. It calmed me down. I then returned to bed with the oxygen on and went back to sleep. I got up at 9:10am when Lydia arrived. She didn't need my handicap placard today. She said she got a place to park. She helped me with my regular bath and dressing routine. Then she left.
Next I played online poker for a couple of hours. I got up to 2.5 million up for the session and then on just one hand I had a Ace and King of hearts and went all in before the flop. I was up against an Ace 7 of clubs. A seven came up on the turn and I lost everything in just one hand. Oh well. I still have 172 million. After that I laid down.
Maria Elena arrived at 12:30pm. She brought me some Chinese food from the 8th and Market. She went to work right away.
I did an intake with Project Open Hand at 1:30pm. The will be sending me one hot meal each week day and 2 frozen meals for weekends. Ann Marie took my information and told me that this program starts tomorrow. They also have a groceries pick up location and told me if I had someone that they could pick up food for me there. I then called Shanti project and left a message for Eric. He called me back and told me that they could help me with that. I thought cool.
I got a call from Mary the social worker. She wanted to see me today but I told I had an appointment with Carlos at 3pm. She set up an appointment for tomorrow at 11am. I called a cab and off I went.
I arrived at New Leaf and met with Carlos. We had our session and finished at 3:50pm. I left and got a bus to 8th and Market. I then transfered to another bus to 8th and Howard. I walked home.
I got home at 4pm. I had got a call from Dad. I returned the call. I got call from Matt. He was confirming his 6pm arrival.
Matt showed up at 6pm and hung with me and helped file the current mail. We finished and watched Law and Order together. Matt left at 8pm.
I began typing this update and watched Law and Order.
That's it for today.
