MY UPDATE PAGE
March 22, 2006. Wednesday. I didn't sleep hardly at all. I woke up wheezing big time at 2am. No matter which way I turned I couldn't get enough air. I did morphine and Adivan but nothing helped. I felt some green gung in my lungs but couldn't cough it up. It was just dry. The muscles tightened in my whole body. I thought this might me the end. I leaned up and kept gasping for air. I finally got up and just sat in the black chair. I just sat in the quiet dark room with my side light on and kept trying to calm down. About 20 minutes later I began to came down. I just sat in the black chair. I stayed there until the sun came up. Lydia arrived late at 9:30am and when I told her she said she had problems with her back. I told her that maybe she should just go home then. She said no it was ok. She ran my bath and I didn't feel like dressing after so I put my hospital gown on. I sat in the big blue chair.
Later Evelyn from Shanti arrived at 1pm. She had got some food for me at the Open Hand store. She made me some apple juice in my juicer. She had to leave at 2:30pm
Next Cheryl the Hospice by the bay shopper was due to arrive at 5pm after she shopped. Before she did I talked to Tom at Ace Pharmacy. He had the delivery guy give me a supposatory. I inserted it and 30 minutes later we had lift off. LOL. The morphine causes constipation which I already have. I was blocked up and nothing had moved for 4 days. Finally some relief. It helped my breathing a little. For the first time I could lay down on my bed in 18 hours.
Cheryl arrived and cooked me a small amount of spinich. She also made me some fresh orange juice from my juicer. She cleaned up everything and left.
Next my friends Lily and her husband Jose arrived. We hung out and shared on a spiritual level.
They just left a few minutes ago.
I never did type yesterday's update. I probably will miss a few day in the near future. I am declining and some days just don't have the energy to do them.
Tomorrow I meet with my primary doctor Dr. Virginia Cafaro at 11:30am. I am supposed to meet Carlos at 3pm after that. I don't know if I will have the energy to do them both.
As I sit here tonight I am tired and thankful. I don't know if I will make it through the night but I am thankful that GOD gave me today to live.
