MY UPDATE PAGE

This is my first update on the internet on the progression of my lymphoma of the lungs.  As of today Dec 29th 2005 I can still walk but am having trouble breathing.  My hospice nurse Maurice told me Wednesday Dec 28th 2005 that I was not getting air exchange in the lower right quadrant of my lungs but that I still getting air exchange in the others.  It has been more and more difficult to take deep breaths the last few days.  I first noticed it when I was at the BART/Amtrak transfer station in Richmond December 27th when I was returning home after spending 6 days at my dad's house.  I am continuing to live quality of life days and am becoming aware that I will soon need to depend on oxygen tanks to breath.  Maurice from Hospice by the Bay has indicated that I will probably be sucking oxygen within 2 weeks.  It is interesting for me to be able to have an internet web site to communicate my progress.  I will continue to update this page until I am bed bound.  I am still working on my film about my career in show business and my relationship with Stu Scott.  I am also working on another project of my trips to Las Vegas with my friend "Maria".  I am also working on a project of my appearance at Shari Carlson's acting class. And finally I am working on a project about the early days of the Kay family 1956 to 1970.  I am spending a lot of my time with people from various support groups visiting.  Hospice by the Bay sends a Chaplin, a social worker, a volunteer, a massage therapist and a nurse.  Westside mental health services sends a case manager, and a social worker.  Where I live they have a social worker.  Holly redeemer's sends a volunteer.  The city of San Francisco gives me 83hours of in home care support which I split between an attendant and a cleaner.  My friend Jose continues to be completely loyal and has stayed right by my side through this entire process.  My best friend in the whole world is currently on a ship but calls me whenever he can.  I hope I am still ambulatory when he comes to San Francisco in late January.  My dad continues to care and call me daily and has been coming to see me about once a week.  My mom does not know what is going on with me and still loves me.  My sister and her son have called to check in from time to time and it is appreciated.  I am thankful for all of the people who's names I didn't mention in this update but I do appreciate.  I entered a poker tournament tonight with 14 players and finished 3rd.  I was in the money and won $70 for a $30 buy in.  I am not sure when I will update this page again but you can check back if you want.  If you want to get a hold of me by phone try 415-760-0076.  You need to have caller ID or I will not answer and have no answering machine.  If you have blocked caller ID you will need to enter *82 before you dial my number.  If you want to mail me send it to:
